Pub Campaigner In New Year Honours

Many congratulations to John Longden who is the Chief Executive of pub campaigning organisation The Pub is The Hub who has been awarded an MBE in today’s New Year Honours List.

The Pub Is The Hub encourages good licensees, communities, pub owners, breweries, local authorities and the private sector to work together to match community priority needs with additional services which can be provided by the local pub. The Sidmouth Herald has included the Campaign in its review of 2013. In identifying key events in the year under May the newspaper highlights “Regulars at Sidbury’s Red Lion pub launched a campaign to save their local after it was put up for sale.”
